WordPress News

I’ve been using WordPress to power my ‘blog for quite some time now and have been quite impressed with how it’s handled everything.

One complaint that I’ve had has been with the frequency in which updates were released. For a while it seemed as if a "critical update" was being released every week. This really turned me off to updating frequently (which is the wrong attitude to have).

Recently, WP released version 2.3.1 and shortly thereafter 2.3.2 (a critical update). I had been holding out for 2.4, and decided that I wouldn’t update to 2.3.2 just yet (since 2.4 was supposed to be out "soon").

Apparently, 2.4 has been scrubbed and the next version out will be 2.5 (barring and updates on the 2.3 trunk). The bad news: 2.5 won’t be out for a while.

In the meantime I’ve updated to 2.3.2 (and highly suggest that you do as well!!) and am greatly anticipating 2.5.
