Picnic with The Patrick Henry Caucus

NOTE:

Our Precinct does not endorse any particular or specific legislative or political action group, including the Patrick Henry Caucus. However, if you are interested in learning about them and what they stand for, we’re relaying this information.

According to their website, “[t]he Patrick Henry Caucus is dedicated to the ideals established by our Founding Fathers as enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and in the Constitution. The Caucus believes the Constitution is an inspired document and should be adhered to strictly as the Founders intended. We consider the Bill of Rights to be the absolute guarantor of the freedoms specified. The Caucus especially emphasizes the tenth amendment. We affirm that the federal government may exercise only those rights and powers that are specifically granted unto it by the Constitution and no others. We reassert the sovereignty and rights of the individual states. As legislators who adhere to these ideals, we unite as The Patrick Henry Caucus, to take like-minded legislative action to this end.”

The PHC recently sent the following email, inviting like-minded individuals to a picnic:

What: Picnic with the Patric Henry Caucus
Picnic with The Patrick Henry Caucus SAVE THE DATE! Come and enjoy a casual evening with the company of like-minded state sovereignty supporters. You will need to supply your own picnic dinner and drinks. There will not be a formal program, instead guests will engage in a discussion with PHC legislators on state and federal issues pertaining to the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. We will also cover the 12 state sovereignty bills that were passed in the Utah Legislature this year as well as future goals. We invite you to bring friends along to learn about our important cause. This is a FREE event. Of course, donations are always appreciated to help grow the caucus and spread the movement. We will also have PHC t-shirts available for a donation. Rain or shine, we will be there! About The Patrick Henry Caucus: The PHC was formed in 2009 by a group of Utah Representatives to be the legislative voice of the 9-12, Tea Party and other citizen political activist groups. The focus of PHC is to unify citizens and state legislators in an effort to reassert the powers of the states and to preserve individual freedoms.
