Food for thought…
I’ve been hearing a lot about attacks that are being carried out around the world. Many that I talk with fireback with the quip “One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter”.
“Domestic terrorists” is a label being used by government agents to vilify people critical of practices that limit freedom, Liberty, and infringe upon our Rights.
While catchy, that phrase is misleading.
Freedom fighters don’t pursue civilian or seemingly random targets. They don’t “terrorize” a population into their way of thinking.
Freedom fighters target the military and government forces – the organized instruments of repression that keep dictators in power.
Freedom fighters struggle to liberate their citizens from oppression.
Terrorists intentionally kill or maim unarmed civilians, often women and children.
When you hear the term “domestic terrorist”, ask yourself who the intended target was and make sure the label is being applied correctly. If it’s not, how else is that source trying to mislead you?
