Message from Tim Bridgewater, Candidate for U.S. Senate

As precinct officers we do not support or endorse any particular candidate for any particular office. We feel that voters in our precinct should learn about current issues, form their own educated opinions, then learn who is running for office, and vote for that person that best represents your stance on the issues that matter to you.

That having been said, as the Utah Republican Primary Election approaches candidates for various offices are trying to get their message out.

Dear delegates: We have come to the end of an intense election cycle.  I am sure that some of you will be going through withdrawals this week – no more being inundated with mailers, no more being flooded with competing phone calls. Over 98% of you made it to the convention on Saturday – and almost all of you stayed until the final vote was cast.  That speaks to your dedication to this process and to the change this country is demanding.  Thank you so much for your participation. We had a field of good candidates in this race.  I want to thank Senator Bennett for his 18 years of service to this country and this state.  His staff and supporters have run a hard-fought race and have still remained gracious and kind. to our supporters.  My thanks also go to Cherilyn Eagar for running a good, hard campaign.  She has been a stalwart on the campaign trail and has kept the dialogue focused on conservative issues.  Her staff and supporters have also been gracious and focused on Cherilyn’s positives, rather than tearing down other candidates.  My appreciation goes to the others who put their hat in the ring as well – Merrill Cook, David Chiu, Jeremy Friedbaum and Leonard Fabiano. At the end of the day, momentum was on our side.  I am grateful to have been chosen by you to be one of two contenders in the Republican primary and look forward to a good race with Mike Lee.
Thank you to the many of you who volunteered for our campaign.  As we move forward, I invite all of you to join "Team Bridgewater".  We will be kicking off primary season with a party for everyone interested in volunteering this Saturday, May 15thfrom 4:00- 7:00 pm.  We will be gathering on the west side of the Wild West Jordan Playground, Veteran’s Memorial Park, 1985 West 7800 South in West Jordan.  Come join us!  We will have signs, T-shirts, buttons and many more opportunities for you to use your talents.

Again, thank you for your support and your vote on Saturday.  I am working hard to be able to represent Utah – not DC insiders.  I hope you will join me in this fight.

Sincerely,
Tim Bridgewater
