T-Mobile Internet Access Spotty via GPRS in Western US

Aimages of approximately 1am Mountain Time T-Mobile’s Data has been spotty, particularly over GPRS.

Symptoms include inability to sync via Exchange (“Synchronization could not be completed. Try again Later. Support Code: 0x80072F7D”), and errors when surfing the web (“This page contains errors and cannot be displayed.”). Still others state they are being taken to a “T-Zones Subscribe” page that doesn’t allow the user to proceed further.

According to an unnamed T-Mobile source there was a “schedule maintenance event” around 1am that still has an open ticket. This “maintenance event” is rumored to be another “data users purge” as has been done in the past.

What makes this situation frustrating is that many users are not experiencing problems, whereas others (with an identical configuration) are.

UPDATE: As of around 11:20am data access seems to have been restored. Users may need to reset their devices for the “changes” to take effect.
