My Dad, Lawrence Leo Damewood, Sr., passed away in his sleep one year ago. He taught me many, many things about taking care of a yard and garden, and how to make do with what you have — things I hope to share with you in many of the posts that follow.
Lawrence Leo Damewood, Sr. died peacefully in his sleep in the early morning of June 3, 2011, at age 80 in Layton, Utah following a lengthy illness.
Lawrence was born December 26, 1930, near Harlingen, Texas to Vesta Voorhees and Leo Damewood. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Leola Louthan and Alice Craighead; and his first wife, Freda Mae Parish.
