Fossils! Dun dun dun! Boop!

“Fossils! Dun dun dun! Boop!” Over and over and over again.

That’s what Natalie and I heard coming from the family room last week.

It turns out that the kiddos were watching Phineas and Ferb, a Disney show.

We didn’t pay too much attention until later that we watched a Nova show about dinosaurs. Spencer (4) heard them talking about digging for, you guessed it, fossils.

Immediately he looked at me, raised his index finger, and said “Foshils! Dun dun dun!” then, pushing a pretend button with his index finger, “Boop!” Of course this was the cutest thing we’d heard all day, and had to play it up. Every time they’d mention fossils, we’d look at Spencer, he’d look at us and coyly smile, then repeat “Foshils! Dun dun dun! Boop!”.

After exhaustive searching on the innertubez, now you can see where he got it, without hunting for the episode and waiting for the closing credits (yes, that’s what I did the first time).

You can thank me later.™
