I shared with you last week that the Republican Party is the minority party in Salt Lake County because in some legislative districts we lose early voting by a 7-1 margin. The Democrats have organized and worked harder than we have and it is time to make up that deficit.
Some have asked what the Permanent Vote by Mail (PVBM) program is. It is a service from the county clerks’ office that allows you to receive your ballot at your home 3 weeks before an election. You can use the ballot to vote right away by completing it and putting it in the mail or dropping it off at the clerk’s office or a polling location. You can also surrender it at a polling location and vote at the polls. Receiving the ballot early enables you to make sure you know everything you are voting for, from partisan candidates to school board members and judges to propositions.
Two of the greatest benefits of the PVBM program if you take the opportunity to vote early are:
We are able to help the candidates track who has voted so their efforts and limited funds can be spent on those who have not andUnexpected events that might keep you from the polls don’t get in the way of you exercising your right to vote.
Bring your family and friends out to these grassroots political activities. Let’s work to restore our country to the principles that made it great by starting right here in the neighborhoods of Salt Lake County!
~ I do not know anyone who has gotten to the top without hard work. That is the recipe. It will not always get you to the top, but it will get you pretty near. ~ Margaret Thatcher
