Sometimes you just make this stuff up

My son came home from school the other day with a “disciplinary note” from the bus driver. Long story short, he lost his temper when another kid was threatening to “blow up Disneyland” because it’s “unsafe” as evidenced by his aunt allegedly having lost her toenail there.

This year there is a new principal at the school and she disallowed any MP3 players or game consoles at school and on buses. Overall that sounds like a good policy, right?

Sure it does… until you get a kid with noise-sensitivity and Asperger’s Disorder, put him next to a kid with Tourette’s Syndrome, then take away the first kid’s means of drowning out the noise from the second kid… A perfect storm.

Needless to say, after my lovely wife addressed the situation with the principal, the principal has “reevaluated” the prohibition of MP3 players on the buss.
