Fellow Utahn —
This week, the recently passed, unconstitutional health care law was back in the news and I was once again leading efforts to highlight its problems.
On Tuesday, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) revealed that ObamaCare will cost $115 billion more than Democrats told us — pushing the total cost over $1 trillion. I discussed the fiscal insanity of the health care law on Fox News with Greta Van Susteren and on the Fred Thompson Radio Show this week.
I also joined Governor Herbert in writing an op-ed in the Deseret News on the importance of protecting and defending federalism.
This week’s update also features my op-ed in the St. George Spectrum on the importance of ensuring we take care of Utahns harmed by our government’s nuclear testing, and an editorial from the Ogden Standard-Examiner highlighting benefits of a bill I am co-sponsoring that will help bring much needed transparency to the congressional earmark process.
Sincerely,
Senator Hatch
P.S. Have you seen the video I showed at the Republican convention yet? If you haven’t, please take a few minutes to catch up on what I have been up to.
