Meet the new URP Officers Tuesday, June 28, 2011

Fellow Republicans!

As you many know, I was re-elected as Chairman of the Utah Republican party on Saturday. I would sincerely like to thank the delegates for allowing me to serve a full term as Chairman!

I was elected on a campaign that was focused on increasing voter participation, defending the caucus system and winning in 4 Congressional seats in 2012. That work begins today. There has never been a time to be more excited or proud to be a Republican! There is a lot of work to do and I need your help!

First, we need have to make sure that the people around us are registered to vote. Let’s also urge our friends and family who vote less frequently to consider vote by mail options that make voting easier. These small daily victories will produce the results we are looking for in 2012. Now is the time to start. If you would like a list of the people in your neighborhood who are registered in your neighborhood, let me know.

Second, we need to increase participation in our Caucuses and Conventions. Please put the date Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 7 p.m. (subject to State Central Committee approval) of the Caucus night on your calendar now. Start encouraging your family, friends and neighbors who are Republican to do the same.

And finally, the $1 a day program (give as many or as few days as you wish) is the grassroots fundraising program that will help fund victories on 2012. Every dollar raised will go into an account that will be used to support the four Congressional Party nominees in 2012. Visit www.utgop.org and make a contribution today!

As with any campaign, emotions ran high on Saturday and sometimes became negative. My tone could have been more measured at one point. I’m not perfect, but am absolutely committed to working together to bring a GOP victory in 2012. I have spoken with the newly elected officers and many of those on both sides of the important debates on Saturday and am looking forward to working in this Conservative fight as a team. I believe we are all committed to working together. Now is the time to move past our differences and get to work! Our true adversaries are those who are taking our freedoms away and enslaving us to a massive federal government. I will not forget that over the next two years and hope you won’t either.

I would like to invite you to Party HQ to meet the new Party officers!
