Early Voting Starts Today

Early voting begins 14 days before Election Day, and ends the Friday before Election Day. Early Voting provides voters the option of voting prior to Election Day at an Early Voting Location. Voters do not need an excuse to utilize this convenient voting method. The Early Voting dates for the Primary Election are Tuesday, June 8 – Friday, June 18. Regular Primary voting takes place on primary election day, June 22, 2010 at your designated polling location.

• When is the Primary Election? June 22^nd
• Who votes in the Republican Primary? Only registered Republicans
• How do I register to vote? Voters may register to be a Republican at the polls only if they are unaffiliated. If they had never registered to vote they needed to have registered by June 7^thand if they were affiliated with another party they needed to have registered by May 24, 30 days before the Primary Elections.
• Am I a registered Republican? Go to https://gva1.utah.gov/elections/polling.aspx and fill in the required information to find your party affiliation. OR contact your county clerk.
• How do I register as a Republican? You must fill out a new voter registration form at your county clerk’s office and check "republican" under "political party"
• Where do I vote? Go to: https://gva1.utah.gov/elections/polling.aspx and fill in the required information to find your location. OR contact your county clerk.
• I will be out of town on election day, can I still vote? Yes, if you fill out an "absentee ballot registration form" at your county clerk’s office by June 18th.

• U.S. Senate – Tim Bridgewater vs Mike Lee
• Utah House – if you live in any of the following legislative districts: 5, 15, 19, 20, 50, 53, 59 (to find your legislative district go to https://gva1.utah.gov/elections/polling.aspx and fill in the required information, then click on "view my elected officials" OR contact your county clerk)

Note: You can not "write-in" Candidates in the Primary election. Write-ins are for general election (Nov 2nd) only.
