Decapitation?!

Via the WorldNet Daily News, an 26 year old American contractor, Nick Berg, was killed by beheading in Iraq recently. The video taped execution included a segment where Mr. Berg addressed the camera:

“My name is Nick Berg, my father’s name is Michael, my mother’s name is Susan,” the man said on the video. “I have a brother and sister, David and Sarah. I live in … Philadelphia.”

After he’d made that statement, one of the five terrorists wearing black ski masks standing behind him read a statement before using a large knife to decapitate Berg. As they killed him, they shouted, “Allahu Akbar!” (or “God is great”). The terrorists then held the head out to be seen by the camera.

I have yet to hear any outrage from the mainstream media regarding this event, nor have I heard of any direct retaliation.

Therefore, I’m calling for an official U.S. Military Policy to be made public:

  • Military retaliation for any further terrible murders, such as this one, will be immediatly and swiftly carried out.
  • The entire area in which these things take place will be struck by heavy explosives in attempt to eradicate the menace that men like this pose to world safety.
  • We acknowledge, and apologise in advance, for all civilian casualties and religious/historic places that will inevitably be destroyed in the process.
  • We encourage the innocent public to root out the evil among them and turn them over to Coalition forces, dead or alive. Anyone who is not vehemently opposed to this type of behavior shall be considered an ally of the terrorists responsible.

If you think my position is too harsh, watch the video, then imagine if that were your friend, brother, son, husband, or father.

If these people believe in “an eye for an eye,” who am I to argue?
