I have the power!
First and foremost, power is important. You cannot ‘blog without it! If you’re here at MIX07 and you’re in a session, and you need some go juice for your laptop or tablet, two things:
(1) there are service access panels in the pillars near the doors, inside you’ll find two outlets, enjoy!
(2) don’t be tempted to plug into the big, black power strips that the light stacks are plugged into, they vary the voltage from below 70V to well above the “safe levels” for personal electronics, you’ve been warned!
Gotta get yourself connected
Next, Internet access, Microsoft has been kind enough to provide us with 801.11a,b,g, it’s un-secure (so visit http://www.microsoft.com/security for more information about securing your rig BEFORE you connect. After that, look for SSID MSFTINET, no WEP, no WPA, just connect and go. The bandwidth is pretty nice (much better than the Sprint EV-DO card that I came with!).
