Microsoft Right-hand, this is Microsoft Left-hand

All the other blogs are going to be talking about how the US Government just upped the “bailout” from $700 bajillion to over $900 bajillion and how the DOW just fell about 500 points to under 10,000 for the first time since Oct. 29, 2004.

Is that what I’m going to blog about today? Nope. Instead I’m going to talk about how Microsoft’s Right-hand doesn’t know what it’s Left-hand is doing.

I have a Microsoft Smart Watch with SPOT Technology, or MSN Direct, whatever Microsoft is calling it this week.

For those of you who don’t know, this lets my watch get the date and time, local weather, local events, sports scores, stock information, local movie theater information, news, and breaking alerts. That’s the basic plan, if I pay the extra premium (around $5/month more) I can have my peeps send IMs directly to my watch, and can have my calendar sync with my watch as well. Luckily for me, I do neither of the last two.

Turns out that’s a good thing: Over the weekend I got this email.
