DISCLOSE Act is Dead – for Now

We cut it extremely close, but thanks to your efforts, we prevailed in today’s Senate cloture vote on the DISCLOSE Act (or as it should be called, “the Establishment Protection Act”).

The Senate fell short of the 60 votes needed to break a filibuster by a final tally of 59-39. This one vote victory showcases the importance of contacting every senator.

DISCLOSE is designed to silence grassroots organizations like Campaign for Liberty because we have the audacity to challenge the establishment’s failed status quo.

This deals a massive setback to part of the statist agenda, but it is by no means the final blow. Harry Reid is still likely to again try to ram through DISCLOSE in a lame duck session. The momentum is ours, so we have to not only keep the pressure on, but turn it up!

[Both of our Senators voted to] OPPOSE DISCLOSE, please tell them you appreciate their stand and expect their continued opposition to the bill.

This couldn’t have been achieved without your dedicated activism. Thank you for all you do to defend freedom and restore the Constitution!

In Liberty,

John Tate, President
Campaign for Libery
