Helium and Sulphur Hexafluoride

File this under “Don’t try this at home.”

Remember how when you inhale helium your voice gets really high-pitched for a while, and it sounds really funny? That’s because helium is much less dense than air and comes our differently than regular air when it crosses your vocal cords.

But didn’t you always wonder what would happen if you inhaled something much more dense than air… you know, if it didn’t kill you?

Be advised, that inhaling anything other than air could kill you, so we don’t recommend inhaling anything other than air. That said, take a look:
