Proof that Mac OS is going mainstream: Some Leopard upgraders see ‘blue screen of death’

A significant number of Mac owners upgrading to Leopard on Friday reported that after installing the new operating system, their machines locked up, showing only an interminable — and very Windows-like — “blue screen of death.”

Then again, can Mac really be called an OS anymore? Isn’t the OS that Mac runs on BSD Unix? Doesn’t that just make them a hardware and “skin” or “theme” vendor?

So all Stardock needs to do to be “the same as Apple” is to introduce a portable music player (ala iPod) and start making/contracting hardware. Right? ;)
