My wife’s windshield started growing a crack a few weeks ago, and with a family vacation coming up she didn’t want to risk the whole windshield imploding out in the middle of Podunksville (or while en route to or from Podunksville).

We called our insurance agent and got some recommendations; Techna Glass was on the top of his very short list. We called them and set up an appointment for the following day (then called a dozen others from the Yellow Pages to make sure we were getting a “good deal”).

My wife arrived for her appointment (today) about 10 minutes late. “So sorry, you were late. We had to cancel your appointment. Not to worry, we’ll set up a new appointment for tomorrow and make you pack up all the kids in the van and cart them all back over here then, and we’ll take care of it then. Unless you’re late…”

Okay, okay, so that’s a fictionalization, but the mood and inconvenience portrayed are spot-on.

Moral of the story? As their motto states: Techna Glass is “Clearly the Best” unless you’re late.
