Congressional Honorary Doctorate?

July 26th, 1999 by Joe Levi

Apparently Senator Orrin Hatch, Representative Jim Hansen, and Governor Mike Leavitt have all decided that my life experiences warrant the title of “doctor” be presented to none other than me of all people!

At first I thought that their replies to constituent mail addressed to “Dr. Joseph Levi” were simple mistakes, not far from my legal name: “D. Joseph Levi” (“D” for “Donald”), but…

After repeated replies from their offices (both in Utah and D.C.), I am convinced that they desire that I be referenced as “Dr. Joseph Levi”, and have thus bestowed upon me a congressional honorary doctorate.

I have yet to officially confirm that they have indeed bestowed upon me a congressional honorary doctorate, but until I do I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for this great honor.
